Angelina Mastantuono

Angelina Mastantuono, of Wirtz, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Pheasant Ridge Nursing Home in Roanoke. She has been a resident of Franklin County for 32 years, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and known as the “Spaghetti Lady” for the monthly spaghetti suppers at the church during the 1990’s. She was preceded in death by her husband Pasquale Mastantuono, and parents Pasquale and Maria Ciufo. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Karr (Ellis), Mary Meleis; Grandchildren, Nathan Karr (Rachel), Alison Smoke (James), Angela, Laura, and Alex Meleis; Great-Grandchildren Ethan and Toby Karr; Sister Filomena Ciufo (Giuseppe); A niece and nephew. The family request that memorial contributions be made to Catholic Ministries of the Sick of your choice. Funeral Mass will be conducted from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 10 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2011 with Rev. Mark White officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
