Ann Shelor

Annie Sloane Shelor, age 79 of Boones Mill, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at her home, reuniting with her husband, Frank Shelor and sons Rick and Andrew Shelor. Also waiting were her parents, Ed and Willie Sloane. She was also preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and Charlie Callahan, Thelma and Ralph Ferguson, Pauline and Percy Guthrie, Lucille and Howard Moses and Bill Wilhem; brothers, James and Bill Sloane; and her husband’s family, Eugene Meador, Harley Adams, Jesse and Ellen Shelor, Julius and Eva Shelor, Laura and Evans Price, Virginia and Rudolph Boyer and Josephine Manuel. She loved her sons and her home in Franklin County and enjoyed the country. Ann had a full life. She loved animals and enjoyed her mornings listening to the birds sing with her cup of coffee. She had many friends and helped many people who had needs. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Edward Shelor, Mark Shelor and wife Ginger, and John Shelor; sisters, Dorothy Wilhem and Eleanor Griffin; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Masako Sloane, Robert and Becky Sloane, David and Pat Sloane, Marie Sloane and Peggy Sloane. She is also survived by her husband’s family, Charlotte Meador, Mary Adams, Betty Bogert, Jimmy and Janice Shelor. A memorial service will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 with Rev. Irvin W. Sloan officiating.
