Anna Mae Richardson

Anna Mae Richardson, age 48 of Hardy, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 16, 2011. She was a volunteer with We Care of Franklin County for twelve years which was a great joy of her life. She was loved and will be missed by all. Anna was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Campbell Colwell; and a sister, Regina Colwell. She is survived by her husband, William “Tokey” Richardson; daughters, Sherry Richardson and Adrian Wheaton, Amanda Richardson; and her son, Benjamin Richardson; her grandchildren, Tyler and Lilly Wheaton; father, Raymond Colwell, Salem; sister, Merry Alice Roope (Jim), Salem; brother, Daniel Ray Colwell (Norma), Salem. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 with Pastors Melvin Harris and Tony Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s name to We Care of Franklin County, P.O. Box 396, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday with her family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has entrusted Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with their arrangements.
