Anne Ramsey Cooper Lester

Anne Ramsey Cooper Lester was called to her heavenly home Tuesday, April 12, 2011 to join her loved ones. She was the cherished daughter of the late Joe White & Tillie Cooper of Rocky Mount and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry K. Lester; and granddaughter, Allison Fullen. Mrs. Lester was a graduate of Franklin County High School and also attended Ferrum College. She was employed with the Franklin County Dept. of Aging. Surviving are her two daughters, Kimberly Fullen (Allen), and Karen Hall (Jesse); two grandchildren, Keith Fullen and Jessica Hall, all of Roanoke. Those left to cherish her memory are her four brothers, Ronald Cooper (Elizabeth), James W. Cooper (Betty), Kenneth Wayne Cooper (Polly) all of Rocky Mount, and Roger Cooper (Patty) of Ferrum. Anne will be missed by a host of nieces and nephews, many loved and cherished friends. Her final days were blessed with the tender loving care of her family and Franklin County Carilion Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Carilion Clinic Hospice of Franklin County, 390 South Main Street, Suite 303, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Memorial services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 with Pastor John Collins officiating. Private graveside services will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
