Arkless “Wayne” Jackson, 61, of Rocky Mount, VA., and formerly of Knoxville, TN., passed away October 17, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Julia Fisher Jackson; parents, Willis & Jerrie Jackson of Vonore, TN; daughter, Jennifer Jackson Howe and grandson, Jackson Elliott Howe of Knoxville, TN; brother, Willis “Jack” Jackson, Jr. of Knoxville, TN.; He is also survived by stepsons, Mike Green of Bluff City, TN., and Lee Jones of Rocky Mount; stepdaughter, Michelle Green of Glade Hill, VA. He is also survived by stepgrandsons, Matt Green, Daniel Green, Dylan Green and Gavin Jones; step-granddaughters, Micah Jones, Makayla Green, and Alexa Green; step great-grandson, Leo Green; sisters-in-law, Norma Harris, Marie Fisher, Cathy (Jim) Clingenpeel, Brenda (Harry) Penn; brother-in-law, Bobby (Linda) Fisher, all of Roanoke; special friend Shelley Jackson of Knoxville, TN; and his special dog, Scooter. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 3:00 pm Sunday, October 28, 2012, with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service to receive friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the SPCA or your favorite charity in Wayne’s honor.
