Arlene Robertson Arrington

On December 15, 2014 at the age of 66, Arlene Robertson Arrington of Rocky Mount, VA grew her wings and flew off to heaven to rock her infant grandson, Carson C. Hodges and to be with her mother, whom she missed dearly and longed to be with again. Arlene was born on January 14, 1948 to the late Jim Edd and Virginia Meeks Robertson. Arlene was a hair dresser-beautician for over 30 years, where she made everlasting friendships with her longtime customers. She loved riding the motorcycle (Trike) with her husband, James E. (Chubby) Arrington or “Jimmy” as she called him. She enjoyed the BIG road trip out west on the bike in 2005. She was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church where she loved to worship her Lord and Savior. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, four children, Arnie Arrington (Susan), Dana Miller, Deanna “DeeDee” Hodges (Coy), JP Arrington (Jennifer); Six grandchildren whom she adored, Nichole & Emily Arrington, Trent & Tyler Miller, Kali Arrington and her loving and special Kacie R. Hodges all of Rocky Mount; Two sisters, Marie Wray (Kenneth) of Boones Mill and Ocie Dillon of Roanoke; Sister-in-law Janet Robertson of Rocky Mount; and also surviving are many nieces, nephews and lifelong friend, Kitty Kingrey of Chester, MD. Arlene is preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Billy and Jimmy Robertson; two nephews, Dale Robertson and Scotty Wray. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
