Audrey Elizabeth Oakley

Audrey Elizabeth Oakley, age 69 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in a Roanoke hospital. She was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Bobby Eugene “Wack” Davis. She is survived by her children, Sam Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Sheila Johnson and Vera Wilburn; one brother Bert; three sisters, Linda, Shirley and Becky; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special friend, Warren Bowman. She is also survived by other family members and friends including her family at Dudley’s Truck Stop especially Barbara Dudley, her closest friend. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that you go to Dudley’s Truck Stop and enjoy a meal to keep her memory alive. Let them know you are there for Audrey. A celebration visitation of her life will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Dudley’s Truck Stop. All of her family and friends are encouraged to come and tell a story or just make a simple comment about Audrey.
