Beatrice Lee Webber

Beatrice Lee Wilson Webber, 78 of Vinton, passed away on October 24, 2017. She was born on August 11, 1939 in Moneta, Virginia to the late Clara and Fuqua Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Delbert Wilson, and her sisters, Loretta Janney, Gloria Short and Arnita Thompson. Bea graduated from William Byrd High School, and lived in Vinton until 1995, when they moved to their home on Smith Mountain Lake. She cared for many children and was known as “Mama Bea” to those who loved her best, water skiing on the lake and gardening around their log cabin. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Donald Wayne Webber. She is also survived by her son, Todd Webber and special friend Pam Dye; her daughter, Robin Hammock; grandchildren, Olivia Hammock and Nash Hammock; siblings, Doris Preston, Irene Guille, and Robert Wilson; and many other nieces and nephews; special nieces and nephew, Vicky Cawley, Brenda Tweedy and Byron Preston. The family will receive those who wish to pay their respect on Friday, October 27th beginning at 4:00 PM at Halesford Baptist Church, with the memorial service at 6:00 PM with Rev.
