Bennie Thomas Moore

Bennie Thomas Moore, age 81, of Wirtz passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012. He was born November 4, 1930 the son of the late Calvin Moore and Mary Hendrick. His wife, Lucille Steele Moore, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Coleman, James and Charlie Moore; one sister, Kathleen Doss. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Saunders Mart in Scruggs for 23 years. Surviving are three step sons, Ronald, Joseph and David Steele; one brother, Lee Curtis Moore; one grandson; nine granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews. “Special Thanks” to his brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Nora Neal, for their wonderful care the last few years. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Franklin Memorial Park with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating.
