Bernard Henry “Bernie” Ferron, age 63 of Penhook passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born February 10, 1949 a son of the late Robert and Jeanne Ferron. Bernie was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served in the Vietnam War, employed by the Moneta Post Office as a rural mail carrier and was a life member of the Cool Branch Rescue Squad which was founded in 1988. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deborah Robertson Ferron; his children, James Steven Ferron and special friend Lisa Brown, Stacey Bernice Ferron, Bernard Shawn Ferron and special friend Michelle Rackley, Tiffany Reynolds and husband Scott, Melissa Rigney, Joseph Seth Ferron and wife Jen, Angela Rigney and special friend Landon Denny; his grandchildren, Kandis Myers, Rachel Mancini, Morgan Gregory, Sean Moran, Caitlin Moran, David Ferron, Alania Mason, Anna Reynolds, Iain Ferron, Madison Ferron, Peyton Denny, Gina McKinney, Whitney McKinney, Evan Yerkey, T.J. Rackley, Ashland Denny, Braydon McKinney; great-granddaughter, Arianna Rackley. He also survived by his brothers and sisters, Doris and George Robertson, Richard and Debbie Ferron, Donna and Leighton Haley, Denise and Richard Miller, Ed Ferron and friend Brenda; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2012. Interment will follow in the Free Saints Holiness Tabernacle Church Cemetery with military honors.
