Bessie L. Perdue

Bessie Mae Perdue, age 88, was granted her wings on June 4th 2016 at her home. Her final days were spent surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was born August 14, 1927 in Bedford, Va to George and Hester Lynch. Bessie married William Oscar Perdue “Bill” on June 13, 1945. They were happily married for 52 years and blessed with 12 children. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband William Perdue “Bill”, daughter Louise Nicholas and son Robert Perdue; two brothers Jimmy Lynch and Charlie Lynch and a sister Virginia Farrar; one half sister Thelma Robertson. Bessie is survived by her children: Polly and Wayne Fisher, Macie and Jerry Campbell, Carroll Perdue, Geneva and Buck Holland, Helen and Mac Arthur Dillon, Margie and Lonnie Pendleton, Gloria and Junior Bolling, George “Tommy” Perdue, Sandra Mitchell, Molly and Phillip Wilkerson; brother Roy Lynch; one half sister Evelyn Pagans; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 with Rev. Belle Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
