Betty Sue Hudson Brown

Betty Sue Hudson Brown, age 71 of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. Betty was born June 10, 1945 to the late TJ Hudson and Lavona Ramsey Hudson Perdue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Danny Hudson. Betty was a member of First Christian Church in Lynchburg, VA. She was also a member of the Serenity Circle and the Preceptor Gamma Omicron chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, through which she served her community and made special friends. Among the many organizations she supported, Meals on Wheels and the Rivermont Area Emergency Food Pantry were close to her heart. The family would like to thank everyone for their loving support. Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Richard Lee Brown; daughters Courtney Brown (her friend David), Carrie Crockett (Jace); granddaughter Elizabeth; many other special friends and family members. There will be a reception of family and friends 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at First Christian Church of Lynchburg, 3109 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg, VA, 24503 Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) with Pastors Brad Dulaney and Susan Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
