Betty Brubaker Wagner, age 77 of Rocky Mount passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a retired bus driver from Franklin County Public Schools with over 55 years of faithful and dedicated service and she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by everyone.
She was born June 20, 1944 a daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Slayton Brubaker. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lewis, George and Henry Brubaker; and two sisters, Mary Lucas and Marie Brubaker.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Henry Wagner; her children, Kenny Wagner (Tammy), Rebecca Spencer (Charles), and Gina Wagner; nine grandchildren, Allison Ratcliffe (Travis), Luke Wagner, Summer Wagner, Jason Campbell, Allen Fain, Ashley Ratcliff (Donnie), Heather Spencer, Mackenzie Akers and Will Akers; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorine Slough, Ruth Graham, Ruby Wells, and Gracie Mullins (Jesse); sisters-in-law, Peggy Brubaker and Norene Brubaker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and her church family at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home 4 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 with Dr. William R. Shively officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and also after the service.
