Beulah Adkins Bowles

Beulah Adkins Bowles, age 89 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday, January 19, 2015. She was born March 22, 1925 in Franklin County to the late Foadie S. and Bertha Palmer Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Husband, Giles R. Bowles; Son, Kenneth R. Bowles; Sisters, Lottie Mitchell, Ruby Young, Lucille Poindexter, & Mary Love Thurman. Beulah was a devoted member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and a charter member of the Snow Creek Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her Daughters, Linda B. Morris, of Union Hall and Pamela B. Joyce (James), of Collinsville; Grandson, Kevin Joyce (Kellie) of Buchanan; Sister, Edna Angell, of Moneta. The family would like to thank Jeanette Harris of Martinsville for the care of their Mother for the past two years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Snow Creek Auxiliary, c/o Nancy Brodie, Treas., 9843 Sontag Road, Martinsville, VA 24112. Funeral Services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Larry Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount and other times at the residence.
