Bob Eames

Bobby "Bob" Glenn Eames age 86 of Boones Mill passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Kesler Murray.

Bob was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired as a Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy with over 30 years of service. He started out as a Jailor in the jail and moved on to be Bailiff in the courthouse and transporting prisoners. He lived and slept being a deputy as this was a job he certainly loved and cared about along with his Sheriff's Department co-workers and friends. Bob was a member of Franklin Heights Church, and a past President and Secretary of the former Boones Mill Lions Club. He will always be known for his quick wit and humor putting a smile on your face.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 short years, Sarah Sink Eames; his feline companion that he adored, Barbie; other family members and many friends especially his church and Sheriff's Department family.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Franklin Heights Church (Rocky Mount Campus) with Pastor Stan Parris officiating. Interment will be private in the Turner Family Cemetery in Boones Mill at the home. There will not be any visitation.
