Boyd Rucker Ayers

Boyd Rucker “Butch” Ayers, Jr., age 68, of Wirtz, VA passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He was born August 6, 1946 the son of the late Boyd Rucker Ayers, Sr. and Elsie Mae Cundiff Ayers. Surviving are his wife, Shelby Ayers; son, Randy Ayers; grandson, Josh Ayers; granddaughter, Makayla Ayers; sister, Joyce Hale and husband, Eddie; three brothers, Donnie Ayers and wife, Carolyn, James Ayers and wife, Darlene, Ronnie Ayers; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, John W. Perdue. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Arrington Family Cemetery with Rev. Denver Turner and Rev. Rick Barton officiating. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home.
