Brady W. Mitchell

Brady Wayne Mitchell, age 73 of Wirtz, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 26, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Brady was born June 19, 1942 to the late James and Edna Forbes Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters-in-law Melvin and Barbara Mitchell, Junior and Barbara Mitchell; sister Frances Elkins; brother-in-law Sammy Manning; and his mother-in-law Elsie Dillon. Brady enjoyed working on his tractor, mowing yards and watching his cows in the field but most of all he loved his family. Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years Bonnie D. Mitchell; daughter Lisa Dillon (Everett); son Timmy Mitchell (Laurie); father-in-law Ezra Dillon; his grandchildren who was his pride and joy Amanda Dillon and Bradley Dillon; sisters Betty Elkins (Jerry), Susie White (Richard), Margaret Manning, and Bonnie Wray; brother Harvey Mitchell; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Jerry Naff officiating. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Family Cemetery. His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lynch Conner-Bowman Home, 140 Floyd Ave, Rocky Mount. (540) 483-5533
