Buddy James Wade

Claude James Wade, Jr. (Buddy), age 70 of Rocky Mount passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Buddy retired from MW Windows with 36 years of service. He was an avid hunter particularly deer and coon hunting. He will be remembered for being a hardworking man that not only loved his family but he provided for them. He will be missed by all. He was born on May 5, 1946 a son of the late Claude James Wade, Sr. and Thelma (Red) Maxey. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Benjamin Maxey. Buddy is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Young Wade; daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline Anita and Joe Bowman; son, James Tracy Wade; granddaughters, Ariel Gabrielle Bowman and Davina Michelle Bowman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Herbert Arrington, Betty Mae and Sammy Jones; special friends, Don Hall, Mike Setliff, Tony Sigmon, Danny Furrow, Teresa Smithers, Holly Belcher; and also his four legged friends, Lucy and Lucky. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Location) with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
