Calvin G. Holland

Calvin G. Holland, age 84 of Martinsville went to be with the Lord Monday, August 9, 2010. Mr. Holland was retired from Dupont after 30 years of service. He was a US Army veteran, having served in the infantry during World War II. He was born August 6, 1926 to the late Troy and Mary Powell Holland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Willard McCrickard and several aunts and uncles. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years Frances M. Holland; one son, Daryl Holland; one daughter Vicki Holland and one grandson Mitchell Holland; one sister Evelyn Irene McCrickard; several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lynch- Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
