Carl L. Gillispie, age 60 of Ferrum, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010. He was born July 28, 1950 to the late Hobert & Macy Ann Gillispie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wilbert & Robert Gillispie; sisters Rose Mary Hawks and Minnie Hawks. Surviving is his daughter Brandy N. Gillispie; sisters Leona Feazelle, Betty Cobbler and husband Daniel, Jane Ortiz and husband Raymond, and Louise Trail and husband Allen; special friends Wayne & Casey Hodges; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bobby Rakes officiating. Interment will follow in the Shively Family Cemetery. His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount. www.lynchconnerbowman.com
