Carliss Robertson

Carliss Rabon “Strawberry” Robertson, age 76, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015. He was born October 9, 1939 the son of the late Carlton and Lillie Compton Robertson. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine (Fennie) Willard, Doris Minnix. He retired from General Electric Corporation and also worked for many years as a barber. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Shirley M. Robertson; daughter, Traci R. VanCleaf and husband, Jim; brother, Larry Robertson and wife, Audrey; three sisters-in-law, Louise Gibson, Carol Tyree, Bonnie Minnix; several nieces and nephews; his beloved pet, Stella. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family would like to say “THANK YOU” to Carilion Hospice, especially Helen and Martha.
