Our "Falfie", Carolyn, sadly left us on Sunday, November 13th, after a nearly four year battle with cancer.
She was a fiercely loving mother to her three daughters, Courtney, Katie and Christine.
Carolyn was raised in Miami Beach and was a Florida girl through and through. She loved the beach, ocean and everything tropical. A lover of adventure, her life before kids included adventures ranging from living on her own mini farm to African Safaris to traveling with iconic 70's bands. She worked as a flight attendant when flying was still glamorous and she loved every second of it. Stories of her time in the sky were endlessly entertaining.
Not only was she beautiful in the conventional way, but beautiful in her independence, intelligence and ability to adapt. She was versatile enough to get dressed up for a formal event, sew the most impressive prom dress for her girls, rewire a light fixture or tile a bathroom.
Falfie was, quite literally, the world's best mother. She gave all she had to raising her girls and met every challenge with grace and a strong will. She advocated relentlessly for her special needs daughter, Christine, to ensure she'll have the best life possible. She raised her girls to be independent and strong like her.
In retirement, she chose not to rest but to pursue a successful career in Real Estate which she quickly found great success in.
During the last 6 years of her life, she was dedicated to being the most amazing Falfie to her Juliette. Her granddaughter was the light of her life and her reason for fighting.
Those who knew Carolyn, know what a kind, strong heart she had; and damn, did she have an awesome sense of humor and killer wit! If you were with her, you were having a good time! We were still laughing with her until the last day.
Carolyn was so fortunate to have her incredible mother as her caregiver, champion and advocate for the last months of her life. We have been overwhelmed with love during this devastating time but it sustains us to know how cherished she was.
She is survived by the following loving family members:
Three daughters, Courtney (husband Brian), Katie (fiance Will) and Christine
Granddaughter, Juliette
Mother, Faye
Siblings, Deborah (husband Jim) and Jim (wife Stefani)
A party and celebration of her life will be held at a later date, most likely Spring of 2023 (as we all know, she's a warm weather kinda girl).
We will love you forever and ever, Falfie! Please visit if you can...
