Cathy Gail Mountcastle, age 64, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was our beloved aunt, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Cathy was the youngest daughter of Marvin and Beulah Mountcastle, of Ferrum, Virginia. We know she is looking forward to reuniting with her dear family in heaven on her parents’ wedding anniversary. In addition to her parents, she will be joining her brothers Kenneth Wayne and David Michael, as well as her sisters Elizabeth, Deborah, and Paula in heaven. 

Cathy is survived by her niece, Melissa Amos (Tommy), her nephew, Bruce Young (Frances), and her three great-nieces, Savannah, Brooke and Courtney Amos. The family would like to thank Larry and Barbara Hatcher for being such wonderful caregivers to Cathy over the past six years. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Henry Road, Ferrum, VA with Pastor Rick Poland officiating.
