Charles Adler

Charles Adler, age 92 of Penhook,VA passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. He was born October 27, 1920 the son of the late Saul Adler and Grace Ireland Adler. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and also retired with over 33 years of service in the U. S. Navy serving in WWII. Surviving are his wife, Jeannette E. Adler of Florida; daughter, Grace Lumpkin and her husband, Wayne of Penhook, VA; cousin, Gloria Shaw of Annapolis, Maryland. The family would like to say "Special thanks to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, also to all the friends and neighbors of Lumpkin's Recreational Park." Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Lumpkin Family Cemetery, 4690 Smith Mountain Road, Penhook, VA, 24137 with Rev. Roy Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 180 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
