Charles “Charlie” Lucas Catlett, age 80, of Henry, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was born September 26, 1940 the son of the late Harry Harold Catlett and Alberta Lucas Catlett. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy; worked at sawmills in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio. He was an employee of the City of Lynchburg Public Works and a Project Manager for Franklin County. His hobbies included the University of Kentucky Sports, Cleveland Browns, Fishing, Boating, Reading, Story Telling, his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Linda Davis Catlett; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Eldon Young of Henry, VA; first wife, Sally Byers; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Barbara Catlett of Richmond, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jimmy Kidd of Mineral, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Celia and Gene Heidi of Florida; granddaughter and her husband, Lindsay and Ryan Larkin of Richmond, VA; great grandson, Liam Larkin of Richmond, VA; numerous friends and family. The family will be having a Celebration of Life visitation at Conner Bowman Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday afternoon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to God’s Provision Food Bank, 1549 Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 or to Franklin County Public School, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
