Charles Edward Coon

Charles Edward Coon, age 80, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017. He was born July 13, 1936 the son of the late Lester Coon and Elizabeth Dickerson Coon. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Rice; five brothers, Clinton L. Coon, Harold Coon, John Coon, William Coon, Richard Coon; two sisters, Elizabeth Armstrong, Martha Merscher. Surviving are his wife, Martha Coon; seven sons, Charles E. Coon, Jr. (Sue), Samuel T. Coon, Martin J. Coon (Khristine), Victor J. Coon (Kim), Clinton L. Coon (Laurie), Jessie Rosco, Steven Rosco; six daughters, Barbara Green (Louise), Judy Maslyn (George), Cathy Midkiff (Steven), Lisa Midkiff (Chester), Tracie Kaur Grewal (Amritpal Singh), & Shelly Olman (Chris); seventeen grandchildren, Stephanie (Paul) Bowman, Gary (Tammy) Rice, Danielle (Rachel) Rice, Martin J. Coon, Jr., Joshua J. Coon, Dustin (Kelsey) Maslyn, Joseph Maslyn, Clinton Coon, Justin Coon, Peggy (Angelo) Pellicano, Ashley Coon, Jacob (Laura) Crouse, Hunter Meyers, Jashan Kaur, Jalmeen Kaur, Khushi Kaur, Harjap Kaur; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Coon, Robert Coon. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway with Pastor Rob Meredith officiating.
