Charles Marvin Webster, 100, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Morristown Manor in Morristown. He was born on July 26, 1913 to the late Charles Thomas and Dove Anna (Saul) Webster. Charles married Myrtle Wray on August 30, 1934. He worked as a farmer most of his life. He also worked construction jobs and maintenance at Irvin Material before retiring in 1977. When he wasn’t being a workaholic, Charles loved spending time with his family and grandkids, being outdoors and deer hunting. He attended of the Curry’s Chapel Methodist Church.
Charles is survived by his sons, Donovan R. Webster of Greenfield, and Jerald Kenneth “Kenny” (DeeAnn) Webster of Shelbyville; his daughter, Caroline S. Peterson of Tamarac, Florida; his brother, Hampton Webster of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Scott (Karen) Webster, “Chuck” Paul Charles Webster, Amy Hodge, Doug (Cindy) Webster, Kim Webster, Tim Lawson, Patricia (Ken) Schaefer; great-grandchildren, Dustin Webster, Emily Webster, Brooke Webster, Brittany (Josh) Carlton, Colten Webster; great-great grandchildren, McKinley Webster, Carlton Webster, Rylen Webster, and many nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Myrtle (Wray) Webster; brothers, Carl Webster, Ernest Webster, Rufus Webster, Cyrus Webster.
Friends may call Monday, April 21, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be held Friday, April 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Monte Vista Church of the Brethren, 25 Wades Gap Road, Callaway, VA 24067. Burial will follow immediately after in the church cemetery.
