Charles Edward Wells

Charles Edward “Chuck” Wells, Jr, age 56, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his home. He was born September 12, 1958. A veteran of the United States Air Force and had over 22 years of service with the Roanoke City Fire-EMS Department. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Hendricks Wells and his step mother, Sandra Rycroft. Surviving are his wife, Debra Wells; father, Charles Edward Wells, Sr.; step daughter, Kristie N. Fisher and husband, Shane; his two grandchildren Kaleb Fisher and Aiden Fisher who affectionately called him, PaPaw; sister, Rita W. Crane and husband, Larry; step sister, Charlotte B. Krantz and husband, Chad; step brother, William Albers and wife, Jill. He will be sadly missed by his Roanoke City Fire-EMS Department brothers and sisters, also his surrounding neighbors and community. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heavenly Manna or to the Antioch Church Of The Brethren Building Fund. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Anspaugh officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
