Christine James Stump, 90, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was born July 20, 1926 the daughter of the late Gratton W. James and Etta Kay Mills James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lewis Stump. Surviving are her three children, Susalee Hodges, Kristina Stump, Richard Stump (Toni); seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Beulah Childress, Doris Price; brother, Billy James. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 15, 2017 at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Faye Beckner, Bizzy Boyle, Kristen Altice and Teresa and Kitty from the Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospice.
