Christopher Karroll Morris

Christopher “Chris” Karroll Morris, age 51, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on April 9, 2025. Chris was born on June 28, 1973 to Harold and Cheryl Morris.

Chris will be remembered for his kindness, love for his family and his laughter. Growing up, Chris was always getting into trouble with his 3 older brothers. All 4 brothers stood up for each other in any situation and Chris made it known that no one could mess with his brothers except for him, he always had their backs. Chris was known for the love he held for his family. Chris had the opportunity to be an uncle to his many nieces, nephews and great-nephew. One of his favorite pastimes was making those around him cry with laughter. From the way he answered phone callers who had the wrong number to scaring them with the ‘boogie-man’ at night while chasing them across the yard. There was never a dull moment when Chris was involved. Chris had the utmost love for the kids in his life and at the age of 50, Chris was able to experience fatherhood as he finally had the chance to have his own child. Destiny was Chris’ pride and joy, as well as his spitting image. There was not one thing that he would not have done to make her happy. Chris’ kindness shown through whenever he would meet someone new. Chris never met a stranger and would give his shirt off his back to anyone he met. Chris was truly one of a kind and the world will never be the same without him.

Chris was known as an avid tree climber who loved the outdoors. There wasn’t anything that he felt he couldn’t handle. Many would just find him dangling in a tree on most days. When he wasn’t in the trees; he would be out collecting things. These things weren’t anything specific, but they were specifically picked out for who he thought would love them. These things varied from clown dolls to little gold clocks that his mom loved. Chris saw the beauty in things that most others did not.

Chris is survived by his daughter Destiny Morris (Kayla); his mother and father, Harold and Cheryl Morris; his brothers, Keith Morris (June), Kevin Morris, and Brian Morris (Sherri); and his nieces, nephews and great-nephew, Tanner Morris, Dustin Morris, Brianna Morris, Luke Morris, Kalie Morris, Macci Morris. KyleeAnn Morris, Chase Morris, Kamden Morris, Carter Morris and Bentley Finney. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy Kenny Reid and Loretta Unroe Reid and Harold Morris Sr. and Ruth Ilene Morris; his uncles and aunt, Walter Reid, Kenneth Lee Reid, and Rennie Kesterson.
