Clara Fisher Armstrong, 77 of Moneta passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 in a Roanoke hospital.
She was a very loving lady that will be missed by everyone that ever came into her life’s journey. She was known for her outpouring love and compassion for her animals especially Cody, who fulfilled her every moment of life. Clara retired from American Electric Power and later became the Customer Service Manager of Newbold Corporation. She enjoyed life to the fullest living her dream on Smith Mountain Lake.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Wayne V. Armstrong; son, Mike Armstrong (Patti), Florida; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Kay Skaggs, Ohio, Sherry Youell (Jon), West Virginia, and Sankie Iemma (Anthony), Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Her family will accept flowers or for those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, Virginia 24018.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015.
