Clarence Daniel Jessee

Clarence Daniel “Dan” Jessee, age 63, of Hardy, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, July 31, 2014. He was born February 25, 1951 the son of the late Clarence G. Jessee. Dan retired from a very fulfilling career with the Virginia State Police with over 32 years of service as a Sergeant over the Division 6 Motorcycle Program. He also worked with Gannett Fleming as a supervisor with the Safety Service Patrol. He had a vast array of interests including bass fishing, wood working and antiquing but all secondary to his 9 beloved grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Pamela Jessee of Hardy, VA; two daughters, Dana Selvia and husband, Mark of Roanoke, VA, Jill Dixon and husband, Eric of Salem, VA; nine grandchildren; mother, Bettye Altizer Jessee of Tazewell, VA; brother, Richard Jessee of North Tazewell, VA; three sisters, Susie Bruchas and husband, Eric of Houston, Texas, Martha Steele and husband, Ron of Princeton, WVA, Chris Webb and husband, Rob of Bluefield, VA; several nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Christina Flowers and husband, Conrad of Roanoke; step-son, Brian Pulliam and wife, Susan of Salem; mother-in-law, Adele Gibson of Hardy; sister-in-law, Beverly Mills and husband, Dennis of Salem; brother-in-law, Clinton Snider and Lisa Cowling of Roanoke. His family would like to thank Dr. Fintel, Dr. Richards and the nurses of the 6th floor at Lewis Gale Medical Center. A “special thanks” to his Virginia State Police Family for all their care. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Franklin Heights Baptist Church before his service starts at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Society.
