Clyde Henry Bernard, age 76 of Rocky Mount passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in a Roanoke hospital.
Clyde was a well-known Barber in our area for many years. He dedicated over 60 years to giving that special trim when his clients needed it. He was a humble, kind and giving man that always saw the good in people. He was a witty man and one that would love to pull a joke over on you, or better known as a Prankster. He loved pulling a fast one especially on his grandson, Jacob. Clyde was a loving father, grandfather and friend that always provided for his family. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Tina B. and Gordon Ingram, Robert Allen Bernard, James Kevin Bernard, Gloria B. and Michael Veston Clement, Sr., Clyde Anthony and Lisa Holley Bernard; his grandchildren, Eric Ingram (Sandra), Jaime Ingram, Jacob Ingram, Jessica Mae Macfann, Robert Eli Bernard, Michael Veston Clement, Jr. (Tabitha), Emily Brooke Clement; his great-grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Colson, Wyatt, Ashton Silas, Annabella and Abigail. Clyde is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Joyce Bernard; niece, Cyndi Bolling (Chris); and special loved ones.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made in Clyde’s name to a charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Neil Pressley officiating. Interment will be private.
