Clyde V. Wray

Clyde V. Wray, age 80 of Rocky Mount, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011. He was born August 27, 1930 to the late John Willie Wray and Annie Bell Amos Wray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Brooks Wray 21 days prior on January 4, 2011; and brothers John T. Wray and Willie H. Wray. Surviving are two children Karen Wray (Ernest Yopp) of Glade Hill, Melinda Wray of Charlottesville; two grandchildren Darrin Swihart, II, Jonathan Perdue; sister Betty Wray Brown, brothers Price & Estelle Wray and Paul Wray; sisters-in-law Elsie Wray, Catherine Wray, Janice B. Holland, and Nancy B. Lambert; brother-in-law James Amos; nephews Robert Amos, Ernest Lee Amos, and Roy L. Holland; other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the Ayers Family Cemetery.
