Cordarious "Cory" Wright

Cordarious Immanuel "Cory" Wright of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 27. Born on May 5, 1990 in Roanoke, VA to Cecile Wright Fitzgerald. Cordarious graduated Franklin County High School in 2008. His hobbies were playing basketball and listening to music. His favorite artist was Gucci Mane. Cordarious is proceeded in death by his great grandmothers Mattie Brooks and Christine Cooke and great grandfathers Jessie Wright and Samuel Cooke. Cordarious leaves to cherish his precious memories, his mother Cecile Wright Fitzgerald (Dexter), Rocky Mount; stepfather Jeffery Fitzgerald, Callands; one son Ky'lique Wright; grandmother Joann Gill; and grandfather, Venable Cooke, all of Rocky Mount. Cordarious is also survived by four special mothers Traze Witcher (Roy) of Rocky Mount, Kena Mitchell (John) of Rocky Mount, Lisa Preston (Gerald) of Rocky Mount, and Mary Mack of Rocky Mount. Three stepbrothers, Kadariss Butler, Sr. of Rocky Mount, Jarius Butler, of Rocky Mount, and Demetrice Berger of Chatham. A special friend and mother to his son Cierra Kidd, a loving stepdaughter, Amerionna Kidd and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and close friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Cooke-Gill Family Cemetery on Powell Store Road, Glad Hill.
