Cynthia Faye Barbour Janney

Cynthia Faye Barbour Janney, 61, of Franklin County, VA went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 19, 2021. She was born October 29, 1959 the daughter of the late James Maynard Barbour and Virginia Ellen Carter Barbour. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Chase Barbour. Cindy loved family, friends and bluegrass music. Cindy was surrounded by her family and friends in her last days at home. Surviving are her husband, Eddie Janney; daughter, Chelsea Adams (Danny); grandchildren, Buddy and Roxie Gardner; sister, Becky Bowles (Randy); five brothers, T. Barbour (Brenda), Kent Barbour (Michelle), Doug Barbour (Donna), Bryan Barbour (Betty), Daryl Barbour (Susan); mother-in-law, Martha Janney; father-in-law, C. T. Janney; sister-in-law, Lorrie Smith; numerous nieces and nephews she loved dearly; special friend, Carla Lienhard. The family would like to say a “Special Thank You” to Cinda and Good Samaritan Hospice. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 23, at Republican Church/Carter Family Cemetery with Kent Barbour and Daryl Barbour officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. before the service starts. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with funeral expenses. Due to the mandates placed by the Governor of Virginia over the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be following the guidelines for social distancing and face masks.
