Daniel Hudson

Daniel “Danny” Steven Hudson, age 66 of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013. He was born June 6, 1947 to the late T.J. Hudson and Lavona Hudson Perdue. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War,he was employed at Ronile where he retired. Danny also drove a truck for Mountain Milk and attended Redwood United Methodist Church for many years. Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years Jean Hudson; step daughter Shelia Lynch (Brent); sister Betty Brown (Richard); sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bonita and Dan Olis; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rusty and Teresa Bishop; nieces Teresita Valdes, Courtney Brown, and Carrie Crockett (Jace); special friend Tommy Dudley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redwood United Methodist Church, 3001 Old Franklin Turnpike, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. The family respectfully requests no food. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) 2pm Monday with Rev. Susan Hughes officiating. Entombment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park with military honors.
