Daniel D. Thompson “POPS”, 74, of Rocky Mount, VA went to join the love of his life, Regina A. Thompson, on May 24, 2021. Dan retired from the United States Army, he had a successful 16 years employment at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in the Security Department. He is survived by his children, Brian Thompson (Amanda), Gerda Gordon (J. L.), Bernie Bachman; brother, Rick Thompson (Bonnie); grandchildren, Brian Thompson, Katlin Thompson, Tina Foley (Mike); great-grandchildren, Carmon Hairston, Kyndall Gordon; great-great-grandchild, Keegan Horne. A celebration of life will be held at 80 Blackwell Road, Rocky Mount from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 29th.
