Danny (Jay Bird) Thomson, Sr.

Danny Eugene (Jay Bird) Thompson, Sr., 62, of Clear Creek, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 20, 2017 after a sudden illness that made him extremely sick and finally took him from us way too soon. He was a great man, father, grandfather, brother and son. He loved playing the guitar, had a passion for music and would listened to it every day but loved bluegrass above all other music. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Franklin Thompson and his beloved wife Deborah Lynn Thompson. He is survived by his children, Danny Eugene Thompson, Jr. (Lori), Cary Lee Thompson (Beth), Kandi Lynn Burdette (Shady), Kasey Dawn Hill (Alvin); grandchildren, Danny Eugene Thompson, III, India Nivia, Nicolas Thompson, Jackie Dakota Hall, Zachary Lynn Thompson, Chase Thompson, Logan Hodges, Tiffany Thompson, Miranda Thompson, Alexander Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Christian Burdette, Alexa Burdette, Trevbor Burdette, Peighton Burdette, Mary Jane Hill, Alvin Hill, Jr., Annabelle Jo-Leigh Hill. He has 10 great grandchildren with one on the way due any day now. His mother Judith Thompson; sisters, Ginger Williams, Rosanne Fisher, Karan Lawson, Pam Bosque, Frances Fisher; brother, Benjamin Franklin Thompson, Jr. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 26 at 11 a.m. at Sycamore Free Pentecostal Church of God. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 25 from 5-9 p.m. at the church. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 4 p.m. with Pastor Mark Griffith officiating.
