Danny Layton

Danny Layton, age 68 of Boones Mill, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016. Danny was a former member of the United Sheet and Metal Workers Association and was a member of Boones Mill Baptist Church. Danny also served his country in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Clara Harden Layton; brothers, William Andrew (Jack) Jourdan, Sr. and Melvin Thomas (Tommy) Jordan; sisters, Hazel Jordan Fink, Matilda (Tillie) Jordan LaPrade and Viola Marie Compton. Surviving are his brother Buddy Harold Jordan; sister Lucille Malatras; special friends Billy Hurt, Jr., Chris Altice, Tony Wilson and David Harden; faithful niece Kathy Jo Randolph; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Memorial services that were scheduled for Friday, January 22, 2016 have been postponed to Friday, January 29, 2016 due to possible in-climate weather. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m.at Conner Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) with Brother Carlton Hodges officiating. Arrangements by Conner Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory, 62 VA Market Place Drive (Route 220 at Wirtz Road) Rocky Mount. Due to forecast for possible inclement weather, the memorial service for Danny Layton has been postponed until Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
