David Lynn Turner

David Lynn Turner, age 56 of Rocky Mount, departed his earthly home on November 28, 2015. David was affectionately known by his family and friends as "Squirrel". He was a loving father, brother and friend who never met a stranger. David was preceded in death by his father Earlie Turner; mother Gertrude Young; stepdad Richard Young; two brothers Everett and William Turner. He is survived by his daughters Fawn Foley ( Kenny) and Sherri Thompson (Daniel); grandchildren Kenny Foley, Jr. (Tegan), Brian and Haley Thompson ; great-grandson Grayson Foley; sisters Earlene Crowe and Tina Turner; brother Michael Turner (Sharon); numerous nieces and nephews; special friend Donna Wright and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Planned Pethood or a charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating.
