Dean Jeffrey Blankenship age 53 of Callaway passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at UVA Medical Center.
Dean was a loving husband, father, son and brother who loved the Lord. He worked for Coca-Cola for over 20 years as a Reset Specialist and was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. His passion in life was bass fishing but he never let that come before his family as they were always first in his life. He never turned anyone away when asked especially anyone that was in definite need. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, a faithful Christian and a man that was always there for others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda A. Blankenship; son, Austin Odell; daughter, Abby Jo Blankenship; parents, Roger and Nancy Armstrong Blankenship; sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Bill Bennett. He is also survived by one niece, Jan Crawford (Ben); five nephews, Chet, Jake, Tate, Knox and Ty Bennett; also, other family members and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 110 Hilltop Drive, Rocky Mount with Dr. Stan Parris officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1st from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
