Deborah "Debbie" Wade Barber

Deborah (Debbie) Wade Barber, 60, of Roanoke, formerly of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2020 surrounded by family. Debbie was born in Roanoke, VA on June 8, 1960 to the late Raymond L. and Betty P. Wade. Debbie is survived by her husband Thomas Barber, Jr. of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Brian Cato of Roanoke; granddaughter Heidi Smith; brother Tom Wade and Becky Doss of Salem; sisters and brothers-in-law Lynn and Latha Porter of Surfside Beach, SC, Lyle Fisher and Steve Taylor of Clarksville, TN, Linda and Clark Chambers of Lawrenceville, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank the 10th Floor Surgical ICU and Palliative teams at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Dr. Shannon Armbruster. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the Roanoke SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Avenue NE Roanoke, VA 24012. Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
