Deidri L. “Dee” Sarver-Jamison, age 64 of Boones Mill, left this world to ride another trail on Monday, August 14, 2017. Dee was born January 20, 1953 to the late Lawrence P. and Leah H. Sarver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Mark Sarver and sister Lori Sarver.
Dee graduated Ferrum College with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. Shortly after graduation she moved to Kitty Hawk, NC where she worked with reverse osmosis in a desalination plant for about 6 months until her love of the outdoors led her to apply to be a park ranger. She then went on to be a ranger at Jockey Ridge State Park and Crowder Mountain State Park in North Carolina for 10 years. She specialized in law enforcement and interpretation education. . After retirement and moving to Virginia her passion for caregiving led her to many homes in her community where she took care of the elderly and also her many critters that she loved.
Surviving is her loving husband Lynn Jamison; son and daughter-in-law Shawn and Lisa Crockett; granddaughter Madelin Young; sister Jennifer Kirkley; brothers Scott P. Sarver and Ben Sarver; sister-in-law Shirl Sarver; brothers–in-law and sisters-in-law Clark and Shirley Jamison, Fred and Linda P. Jamison, Linda F. Jamison, Lisa and Kevin Bowling; many nieces and nephews; very special friend and trail partner Debbie Ross.
