Dianna Sue Austin

Dianna Sue Austin, age 67 of Rocky Mount passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at her home after a short battle with cancer. She was born September 27, 1944 in Piqua, Ohio a daughter of the late Sam and Martha Trissel. She was also preceded in death by a son Thomas Glen Austin; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Riley Lucas. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Bobby Funk, Terri and Doug Foley; son and daughter-in-law Sam and Angie Lucas; grandchildren, Duane and Christy Wright, Jamie and Amber Wright, Robbie Wright, Hannah Wilson, Harley Foley, Hayden Foley, Alyssa Lucas, Abigail Lucas; great-granddaughter, Ciara Wright all of Rocky Mount; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Jackie Trissel, Piqua, Ohio. She is also survived by many other family members and friends. Very special thanks to Dr. Dulaney, Hospice, and Respiratory Rentals for all of your support and help during this time. A memorial service will be conducted from Sandy Ridge Baptist Church 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 with Rev. Joe Dillon officiating. Inurnment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Blue Ridge Cancer Care, 390 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home of Cindy and Bobby Funk. The family has entrusted Conner-Bowman Funeral Home Route 220 @ Wirtz Road with their arrangements.
