Dianne Conner Gillispie

Dianne Conner Gillispie, age 65, of Woolwine, VA peacefully left this life on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Stuart, VA March 31, 1953. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gillispie; mother, Ruth Conner Pack; two brothers, Michael Conner, Marcus Conner; nephew, Chase Conner. Dianne loved children, she enjoyed baking and making birthday cakes for others. Surviving are three sisters, Joan Williams (Terry) of Stuart, VA, Jeanette Belcher (Ellis) of Woolwine, VA, Donna Jewell (Ray) of Raliegh, NC; brother, Ronnie Conner of Kentucky; children, Susie Atkins (Jerry) of Ferrum, VA, Carolyn Puckett (Carl) of Bassett, VA, Donna Trail of Bassett, VA , Lynn Scott of Bassett, VA, Melinda Reel (David) of Rocky Mount, VA, C. W. Trail (Stephanie) of Bassett, VA; special niece and caregiver, Heather Meredith (Richard) of Woolwine, VA; grandchildren of the heart, Mikala Reel, Brooklynn Underwood both of Rocky Mount, VA; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of her life will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby McGhee officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home before the service starts.
