Donald Lee Bower

Donald Lee “Don” Bower age 74 of Vinton passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020. Don was born in Roanoke on October 8, 1946 to the late Mary Etta and James Alvin Bower. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Preston Bailey; and brother, Bobby Bower. Don retired as an Environmentalist with the Roanoke City Health Department after 18 years of service. Don is survived by his wife Cathy Bower; daughters, Angela Bailey (Jeremy), Michelle Bower-Scott; grandchildren, Alex Bailey, Wyatte Bailey, Makenzie Scott and Brooklynn Scott. He is also survived by his fur baby, Mercedes; and other family members and friends. Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 with Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, there will be a pot-luck reception for the family and dear friends at Lamp Light Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 4307 Rock Garden Lane, Roanoke, VA.
