Donald E. Weibel, MD, age 74 of Ferrum and previously of Vernon, NJ, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010. Dr. Weibel graduated high school from St. Peters Prep in Jersey City, NJ where he achieved Valedictorian of his class. He went on to attend Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, NJ and the University of Bologna in Italy. Dr, Weibel was preceded in death by his wives Barbara Weibel and Dorothy Dillon Weibel. Surviving is his son Donald Weibel, Jr.; daughter Diane Weibel; and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Entombment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 220 @ Wirtz Rd., 62 Virginia Market Place Dr., Rocky Mount, VA 24151. www.connerbowman.com
