Donald Edward Yokeley (Don), age 63 of Rocky Mount passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, October 8, 2017. He was born in North Carolina on November 9, 1953 a son of the late Robert D. and Dorothy Bailey Yokeley. Don moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2000 where he lived until he moved to Franklin County in 2012. He joined Walmart shortly after arriving to Franklin County and worked in Clearbrook. He is survived by his caretaker and girlfriend, Carlita McNeil; children, Stephen Yokeley (Sonya) and Danielle Yokeley; his granddaughters, Mia Yokeley, Lillian Chaney and Summer Yokeley; brothers, James Yokeley and Carl Yokeley; nieces and nephews, Jan, Tammy, Lori, Carla & Lee. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be no services at this time. A very special thanks to Carlita McNeil for the love and care shown and given to our father during his illness. It will never be forgotten and always appreciated. He was a loving dad and was known passionately by his granddaughters as Pawpaw Red. He will forever be loved and missed by all.
