Dorothy "Dot" Mae Briggs

Dorothy “Dot” Mae Harlow Briggs, age 77, of Wirtz, VA passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She was born June 1, 1938 the daughter of the late Louis Harlow and Eva Busby Harlow. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy and four brothers, Robert, Jim, Bill, Gary Lee. She retired from General Electric Manufacturing Plant in Salem, VA. She was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church for over 40 years. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Hal; two sons, Tony and Chris; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Lewis, Janet, Gene, Libby, Joyce Ann, Mary Jane, Eddie. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Franklin Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. before the service starts at the church.
